Background

Diller & Scofidio are an architecture firm that was started in 1979. Elizabeth Diller and & Ricardo Scofidio themselves are a married couple. They both went to Cooper Union School of Art where Scofidio now teaches. Diller teaches at Princeton.
Before they became architects they directed live performances that were supposed to be representative of parts of society in an unusual way. They recently became Diller Scofidio & Renfro when Charles Renfro joined the firm.

    Founded in 1979 by Diller and Ricardo Scofidio, they were the first architects to win a MacArthur Prize.
