Steven Holl is one of the greatest architects of all time. Steven was born in 1947 in the city of Bremerton, Washington. Mr. Holl was not exposed to architecture growing up but, he developed his own ambition. Little Steven built a three story house , underground house, and a two story club house at the same time.That ambition was almost given up to a different interest. Mr. Holl is an artist but quickly found out that he is better at architecture.
Later Holl applied for an internship to Louis Khan's office . Louis Kahn died before he could get the internship. He started his first studio at105 Hudson St. He moved to London to start Steven Holl studios. Years later he moved back to New York and started another studio in New York.
